Spring Is In The Air

Despite the still below-freezing temperatures and seemingly constant snow fall, Spring is nearby. Atleast, I hope so. But one look at these Spring 2014 outfit essentials, and I can almost smell the dewy grass and hear the birds chirping, signaling the commencement of warmer days. I cannot wait to be able to pop out the door in lighter jackets, pastel coloured stocking-less skirts, and leather booties that won’t be wrecked by the salty slush. Each and every one of these pieces would all be perfect additions to brighten up the duller wardrobe we’ve all been donning these past few frigid months. Spring is in the Air!

Spring is in the Air

1. Pastel Pink Leather Dress, Zara

Although almost anything leather is so fab right now, I especially love the idea of a pastel coloured leather, giving it a much needed lighter feel for Spring. Worn with heather gray opaque tights, a little cardi, and heeled booties, it would be the perfect winter to spring transition outfit!

2. Gold Sequin Scintillating Steps Flat, Modcloth

How darling are these perfect oxfords?! I’ve been drooling over them for weeks now, but with all the winter weariness just couldn’t picture wearing them. Now I think it’s about time I snatch them up and wear well into the late summer days!

3. Beni Imo Wool Floppy Hat, American Apparel

Ever since I picked up this hat in the Biscotti colour (which I wore here), I have been obsessing over the pale lavender version. It would be such a fun addition to almost any spring outfit!

4. Kelly Jelly Bag in Black & Peach, Shop Suey

This jelly bag reminds me of this Furla satchel that caught my eye awhile ago. Somehow, I only see it being used in warmer months so this much more reasonable option becomes a no-brainer.

5. Oriental Floral Cigarette Trousers, Topshop

I love a good floral patterned trouser, but am very particular about the print. I’ve tried on these pants several times now. Although I haven’t commited yet (the fit is just no quite right for me), the breathtaking pattern alone is enough for me to sweep them up (and have them tailored).

6. Contrast-Stripe Tailored Trousers, MSGM

These robin egg-blue pants with the tuxedo-like stripe down the sides are so stunning, and are perfect for this time of the year! They could easily be dressed up or down depending on the occasion, and therefore would be a versatile and well worth it addition to any wardrobe.

7. Full Midi Skirt in Scuba, ASOS

Tea-length skirts are so in this season, and what better way to rock them than in a delicious mint shade!

8. Malgosia Lace Up Sandals, Alexander Wang

A pair of these pastel pretties sitting waiting in my closet is all I’d need to dream of upcoming warmer days. If these in particular are a little out of budget, try these Lulu sandals for a similar feel!
