Moroccan Sequins

When packing for an upcoming trip, I always keep the nature of the place in mind with each piece I choose. Whether consciously or not, my travel style is heavily influenced by its destination. Like wearing Spanish-dancing inspired ruffles and bright red fedoras in Madrid, or blending in with the architecture of Siena. I always try to get a feel of a place (that goes beyond the weather forecast), and plan my outfits accordingly. For our trip to Morocco, I envisioned intricate Moorish patterns, jewel-tone colours and expansive desserts.

Ben Youssef Madras Marrakech

I found the perfect piece that automatically made me think of Marrakech. Although dubbed ‘Art Deco’, this sequin tank felt more tribal to me, and paired with an army-green vest and sand-colour accessories, felt perfectly Moroccan to me. I absolutely loved exploring the The Ben Youssef Madrasa in the Medina, followed drinks upon my favourite Riad, El Fenn, at sunset!
