What a wonderful weekend it was! We did so much, it seems as if we covered the entire island. On Saturday, we rented a car to take a little road trip to see some of the harder-to-reach sights, and ended the day with a bbq on a friend’s rooftop with the most magical view. As per our Sunday tradition, J and I hit up our favourite places for smoked salmon sandwiches, the best baked goods, Lebanese food, and gelato, of course, all while fitting in a long snorkel session, and evening concert. This coming week we plan on fully playing tourist in our very own backyard. Hope you have a perfect week! Here are a few of my favourite things from the past few days:
Taking a boat to explore some hidden grottos and caves.
So many great installations at the Street Art Festival, including this 3D roof one.
The watermelons here are really the best.
Visiting one of the world’s oldest free-standing structures, from over 6000 years ago.
Delicious cakes + coffee on a rooftop above the Silent Ancient City of Mdina.
Another spectacular fireworks show (they are almost daily here), from the vantage point of Senglea, one of the Three Cities.
