Now that Malta Fashion Week has come and gone, we can all take a breather to properly reflect back on the experience.
This year’s MFWA (Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Malta / Chamilia Malta Fashion Awards) was truly spectacular (you can see PART 1 here). With a long list of talented designers, both local and foreign, the week was jam-packed with impressive collections, drool-worthy pieces, and a wonderful audience to match. Although I had to miss the last couple days as a jet-setted to Germany for the weekend, I was already so floored by the creative genius I witness strutting down the runway. It was definitely a week I will never forget, as I met many fantastic people, and am so grateful to have been selected to take part in the entire experience.

One show I was particularly fond of is Carla Grima’s. Carla Grima is a Maltese designer, that works with luscious silk fabrics, bold colours, and unique prints. The show itself was set against a backdrop of Senglea across the harbour, during a particularly grayish evening, that actually made the colourful pieces themselves the focal point in contrast.
Here’s what I wore for my last day at Mercedes-Benz Malta Fashion Week Awards 2016:
I will definitely miss the picture-perfect views from #MFA2016’s unique venue, Fort Saint Angelo in Birgu.

Easily the most wearable collection showing at Malta fashion week. Loved the styling.. loved the vibes. Great collection all around.

Agreed Rachel! I’ve already reserved that white one piece swim suit for as soon as production is ready! What a wonderful show.
