Malta Fashion Week 2016: Part 1

Mercedes-Benz Malta Fashion Week 2016, sponsored by Valletta 2018 is, off to a fantastic start this year.

We’ve already seen the New Designers show, held in Valletta, as well as the Point Fashion Show at the stunning main venue, Fort St. Angelo in Vittoriosa.  We took a Maltese Daisa (traditionally a fishing boat) across the Grand Harbour to arrive at the event, which made it all more of a magical experience. (Seriously, could you imagine doing that for NYFW / PFW /LFW etc.?!)

Upon arrival at the Fort (as seen below from the boat), we were seated front row, in prime positioning to see The Point Fashion Show unfold. Featuring 32 designers, the show was a departure from the typical runway, with ready-to-wear pieces that the audience could pick up themselves.

Fort St Angelo

Since this was a wearable street collection show, I decided to keep it casual. I wore a white lace & mesh long sleeve blouse with a high neck, paired with ripped jeans and nude stroppy heels. I also loved the raffia accent details on my hand clutch. Here are some of my favourite looks from the show, plus more sneak peeks of my outfit that evening:
