Visiting Venice was a dream come true.I was completely in awe of the seemingly floating city, with the Venetian Gothic facades lining the winding canals. We happened to plan our trip to coincide with the city’s Carnival (completely coincidentally), and couldn’t have had better timing. Although the streets and squares were packed with people, the majority of them were in paper mache masks and colourful costumes, which made for the most vibrant atmosphere. The city was absolutely buzzing with activity. I did purchase a beautiful hand made white and pearl mask myself, but kept my uniform simple. The winter dampness cut through us like never before, so layering was key. While there, I picked up a pink overcoat to layer over a serious set up of tanks, shirts, and cable knit sweaters. With the pending Aqua Alta (common high tide), I need a pair of waterproof boots, but not as bulky as rainboots. These Loeffler Randal Rain Booties fit the bill perfectly, and together with all the layering, I was set for a full day of sightseeing around one of the most beautiful cities in the world.
Overcoat: H&M, Cable Knit Sweater: Stefanel (sim. on sale), Black Jeans: Topshop, Booties: Loeffler Randall, Chunky Gold Bracelet: Similar, Beanie: from Florence, Scarf: Vintage.

Such elegance! I love the Zen cocpnet…how fitting for these photographs “you made.” You can see so clearly the beauty of the sheer fabric as it sweeps with the movement.
